Chevrolet Optra Features

When General Motors launched Optra Magnum in India, became the third location after Europe and Korea where it has been launched. It is the first diesel car launched by General Motors in India. Magnum competes with Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra. Magnum is powered by 1991 cc TCDi engine which gives 119 bhp at 3000rpm. Ventilated disc brakes in the front and disc brakes at the rear provides powerful breaking power. Magnum boasts additional technological innovations like a dual mass flywheel, which significantly reduces vibration while idling, and a balanced shaft module, which ensures refined and smooth engine operation.  It also helps improve NVH, as less energy is lost due to vibrating parts.

Magnum touches 60 kmph comes in 5.06 seconds, which is faster than the Octavia by 0.6 seconds approximately. 100 kmph comes up in 9.84 seconds, which is a significant three and a half seconds faster than the Octavia. The special feature of Chevrolet Optra Magnum is the scratch proof bumper on the outside and the dual airbags. This feature ensures safety in and outside Optra Magnum. The advanced X-PRO safety system with ABS make sure that the magnum stays stable even under hard braking, ensuring a smooth stop.
