Chevrolet Captiva - Choose your TURF
Chevrolet Captiva, a premium sport utility vehicle, is the latest offering from General Motors India. The state-of-the-art SUV, priced at Rs. 17.74 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), was launched at the 9th Auto Expo this year. The Captiva comes with a state-of-the-art, 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder and single overhead cam 16-valve diesel engine. Combined with a common-rail direct injection system and a variable geometry turbo (VGT) system, the engine produces 150 PS of peak power at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. Torque is produced through a very flat curve, ensuring ample reserves to make frequent downshifting redundant, whether on the highway or in city traffic. The seven-seater SUV’s unique, fold-flat seating arrangement provides up to 1,565 liters of cargo volume. Ever since its launch, the Chevrolet Captiva has been receiving rave reviews from all across. This is a study of taut automotive dynamism in its design execution. With its boldly contoured hood, aggressive clear-lens projection headlamps and eye-catching grille featuring a prominent Chevrolet bowtie, the Captiva is sure to turn heads wherever it is driven. A unique feature of the Chevy Captiva is a level ride suspension system, which automatically maintains nominal ride height under differing load conditions – a feature that offers assured road clearance as well as optimal ride quality for passengers. The Captiva is positioned against the Mitsubishi Pajero, Honda-CRV, Hyundai Tucson and the likes, and with its aggressive pricing, Captiva is certain to be a runway hit in the premium SUV segment.

When will the Automatic Captiva roll out?
Captiva sure is a fantastic car . I like it and wish to own one but for its prohibitive price. I feel it shoul be in the the range of 15 lacs app and that would make its market position unassailable.
Company must consider about this aspect .
